ABOUT US

North Valley Medical Association Seal LogoThe North Valley Medical Association (NVMA) is a physician organization located in Redding, California. The NVMA is affiliated with the California Medical Association assisting physicians to provide the highest quality of care to their patients in Northern California. The NVMA has physician members located in Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama and Trinity Counties and the communities of Anderson, Redding, Red Bluff, Mt. Shasta, Dunsmuir, Yreka, Weaverville, Fall River Mills, Shasta Lake City and other North State cities.

According to records in the CMA Archives, the Shasta County Medical Society was founded in the early 1900s. During 1946, the Shasta County Medical Society merged with the Trinity County Medical Society to become the Shasta-Trinity County Medical Society. The Shasta-Trinity County Medical Society was replaced with the North Valley Medical Association (NVMA) when it was established in 2002. Mission Statement

To enhance the health of our communities and promote the practice of medicine by advocating for quality, ethical health care, strong physician-patient relationships and for personal and professional well-being for physicians. To cooperate with organizations of like purposes and to unite with similar societies in the State of California as component societies of the California Medical Association.
